How to make Italian Pasta Puttanesca Recipe?

 

Did you know that Puttanesca in Italian means “Whore’s Pasta” derived from the Italian word Puttana means whore.  Origins dated back in the mid centuries in a little island of Naples.

Ingredients:

1 medium sized onion
3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
4 table spoons olive oil
5 anchovies chopped
8 ounces of pasta
2 table spoons of capers (optional)
9 black olives
14 oz tomatoes (canned chunky)
¼ tea spoon salt
¼ tea spoon pepper
2 table spoon parmesan

Preparation:

1)    Cook to boil 8 ounces of pasta for 30 min (until aldente or cooked)
2)    Drain pasta and put into a large bowl
3)    In a large pan heat olive oil over medium heat
4)    Add onion and garlic cook until light brown
5)    Add anchovies and capers
6)    Add the tomatoes reduce heat and simmer for 11 minutes
7)    When the sauce is ready mix all together and
8)    Add parmesan as toppings
